Dodge will give away 25 cars and create a “Chief Donut Maker” item
Dodge is planning a giveaway of 25 cars and a new brand ambassador that it will call “Chief Donut Maker” with a salary of $ 150,000 and a Hellcat to drive as part of a two-year business plan it will drive. it unveils Monday titled “Never Lift”.
It’s a reference to never taking your foot off the accelerator, which is very much in line with the Dodge philosophy more is better and there isn’t too much power.
Dodge brand CEO Tim Kuniskis also promises news announcements every three months. It’s worth noting that Dodge plans to launch an electric muscle car in 2024, so it’s safe to assume that some details could be on the way.
“Sure, some will be minor, but there will be a few that are game-changing,” Kuniskis said of the announcement plan in a video posted by Stellantis, the automaker that owns Dodge along with Jeep, Ram and Chrysler.
Dodge, whose bread and butter have been high horsepower gasoline engines, will seek to reinvent itself by entering the era of electrified performance cars.
Much of the Never Lift announcement is the car giveaway, dubbed Operation 8/25, as in, to go beyond rather than just 24/7. Amazon is a partner in the program.
“The 25/8 Dream Car Competition will have the support of 25 superstars from the worlds of sports, music and automobiles, each giving muscle car enthusiasts a chance to take off with the new Dodge of their choice. Amazon will also participate in the giveaway, ”according to a press release that promises more details later this week.
Details of the Chief Donut Maker program, someone who will also get a wardrobe laden with logos, will be announced next year. No word yet on how to apply.
The brand will also roll out an elite dealer network that it will call “Dodge Power Brokers” on December 15th.
“Every Dodge dealer across the country will continue to provide an exceptional sales and service experience. But Dodge Power Brokers will offer everything an enthusiast needs to reach the next level of performance, ”Kuniskis said in the release.
Part of the next level will include hosting performance clinics for enthusiasts and making a full line of Dodge performance models available for road testing, the release said.
The final element of the plan involves the launch next month of the Direct Connection performance parts brand “as an exclusive source of brand performance parts and technical information direct from the manufacturer.”
By the way, a Free Press reporter asked a few spokespersons if there were concerns about a number of online references to the phrase “Never Lift”, such as in the Urban Dictionary, who notes (spelling errors included) foot planted firmly on the gas with complete disregard for human life. There was no immediate response.
