Nissan bosses delighted with all-new Qashqai confirmed as best-selling crossover – car dealer magazine
Nissan bosses are celebrating after the all-new Qashqai has been confirmed as the UK’s best-selling crossover.
The third-generation model registered an impressive 4,108 registrations in September, according to SMMT figures.
That puts it at the top of the list when it comes to crossovers and represents almost half of the 10,586 new Nissan cars sold last month.
The Japanese brand recorded a 4.3% market share in September, also boosted by 1,066 sales of the all-electric Leaf.
Almost one in ten cars (9.5%) sold in the UK was a battery electric vehicle, according to the SMMT.
A total of 6,156 Nissan Leafs have been registered in the calendar year to date, which is a 10% increase over the same period in 2020.
Elsewhere, Nissan also had one of the best customer satisfaction rates of any major manufacturer – 97%.
