The new Hongqi H6 might be the Chinese luxury brand’s best-looking model yet
Hongqi’s line of new models continues to swell in china with the launch of this, the new H6 sedan, which was unveiled ahead of its public debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November.
Those who know other Hongqi models immediately recognize the familiar front fascia of the H6, thanks to the angled headlights that connect perfectly to the large rectangular grille. Other striking details found on the front of the H6 include trim accents around the fog lamps, as well as the large red and chrome badge that runs vertically across the front fascia as seen in other Hongqi models. .
The attractive sedan has a sleek profile and slippery shape which, at the rear, is topped with a sloping windshield and striking LED taillights linked by a prominent light bar. Arguably the most eye-catching aspect of the rear is the bumper with intriguing horizontal strakes on either side of the license plate bracket. There are also chrome trims in place of a diffuser and then a pair of center tailpipes, also with a chrome finish. The design is completed by a set of large silver wheels with an intricate spoke design.
Only one powertrain option will be available, consisting of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 221 hp in base spec and 248 hp in the flagship model. As the car has yet to be officially launched, performance details have not been announced.
